grounded in holistic health

be brave,
be healthy,
be active,
be grounded
why grounded
-
Firstly
To us, ‘grounded’ is two fold.
It speaks to nature. Nature is adaptable and resilient, just like your body. A branch which is bent is not broken, it's just finding its way to the light.
-
Listen and understand you and your individual story
Who you are and how you got here is all a part of your injury, pain or problem. As holistic practitioners we take the time to get to know you so we can work with you to get you feeling your best.
-
Secondly
Secondly, it’s about coming back to your body and asking what it needs. We live such chaotic, fast paced lives and our bodies get caught in the cross fire. Good things happen when you slow down and make time for your body.
-
Meet you where you are
Everyone's ‘why’ is different, everyone’s ‘starting point’ is different. Whether you are a desk worker, struggling with chronic illness, an elite athlete or anything in between, everyone can feel let down and frustrated by their body. Whether your goal is to put your shoes on without pain, or play sport at an elite level, we meet you where you are so that together, we can take you as far as you want to go.
how?
We combine traditional osteopathic principles with modern evidence based research to meet your individual needs and goals.
We want to find the cause of your injury, pain or problem and implement a plan to create long term meaningful change.
Work with you to get you where you want to be. Your treatment plan should be effective, efficient and adaptable.
We will use a combination of hands on treatment, education, advice and exercise prescription specific to your needs. Life ebbs and flows and we don’t want you to be stagnant, we want you to thrive. So, as you change, our treatment plan will change with you.
Sarah Slater (Osteopath)
Sarah believes the best outcomes occur when you understand your diagnosis and take an active role in your recovery. Sarah combines a hands-on approach with education and exercise prescription so that you have the tools you need to not only recover but to reach your full potential. Sarah is a holistic practitioner who will draw on multiple facets to create a solution that makes sense for you and the life you are currently living.
Her passion for helping clients overcome injury and pain comes from a personal place. Having played basketball at an elite level for a long time, she understands how tough it is to be sidelined by injury. As well as this, dealing with her own health concerns , she also knows how frustrating it can be when pain interrupts you on a day to day basis.
Sarah loves to work with a wide range of injuries and people. No goal is too big or small. Sarah loves a challenge and particularly loves working with those who have tried everything and haven’t yet found their solution.
In her spare time, Sarah loves getting to gigs, enjoying any sunshine Melbourne affords, or moving her body in a yoga class or at the gym.
